Generation Industry

By June 2010, the total controlled installed capacity reached 84725.6 MW, including 71286.5 MW by coal-fired, representing 84.14% of total installed capacity; 7989.4 MW by hydropower (including 3.9MW tidal generation ), 9.43% of total installed capacity; 5394.7 MW by wind power capacity, 6.37% of total installed capacity; 55 MW by biomass, accounting for 0.06% of total installed capacity. Among the coal-fired units, there are 44 units with the single unit capacity equal or larger than 600 MW, taking 39.2% of total thermal power. And the units with single unit capacity of 300MW and above take 84.9% of the total thermal power capacity.China Guodian is the largest wind power operator in Asia and No.5 largest in the world.

The capacity of tidal power generation ranks 3rd in the world and 1st in Asia.

Coal Industry

China Guodian owns 13.8 billion tons of coal reserve with 41 million tons of annual output.

High-tech Industry

· Desulphurization and denitration technology has been widely applied in 25% of total coal-fired generating units in China, with reference units over 45120 MW in operation, and 32510 MW under construction.

· Plasma oil-free ignition technology, with intellectual property rights, was applied for more than 250,000MW in coal-fired units in China, South Korea and Russia (Far East) as well. With this technology, it can realize the oil-free coal-fired power plant.

· Distrubuted Controll System (DCS) for power plants, is self-developed and has been adopted more than 800 sets, occupying more than 20% of Chinese market.

· Wind turbine manufacturing is another key advantage of China Guodian. China Guodian owns the complete manufacturing process of wind farms, including design, equipment manufacturing, construction, operation, maintenance etc.
